The story behind

Born out of a friendship kept alive across the distance

We met in New Zealand back in 2016, travelling on a working holiday. Ten years ago already. And during that trip I got the chance to show Seba this passion I carry for tennis. Right there, on a court, everything was about to change for him.

A few years later we got back in touch and I got the news: "I'm a tennis coach in Australia". I couldn't believe it. What an example of pushing through, of reinvention, of anything being possible.

That's where the seed of this idea was planted. Today it's an app and a community, born out of that friendship between two Chileans living abroad.

Why did we create Born 4 Tennis?

Because we both faced the same problem in two different countries: how hard it is to find people to play with and build your network of tennis partners.

And something tells us we're not the only ones. If you've made it this far, you probably live it too.

This probably rings a bell

The hard part of amateur tennis isn't the tennis.

It's everything else:

Wanting to play and finding no one to play with. Your contacts don't have the consistency you'd like to keep up in this sport.

Meeting someone way above your level, or way below. (Let's be honest, it's no fun for you or for them.)

Being a member of a club and only ever meeting people from your club.

Playing with no clear idea of your level, moving forward blind, with no clear direction or goal.

Moving city, club or country, and going back to being "the new one with no level". What you earned doesn't travel with you.

That with the padel craze, finding someone to play tennis with keeps getting harder. And a dedicated, loyal space, just for tennis… too.

I know all this, because I'm just another one like you.

That's why Born 4 Tennis exists: to gather the biggest amateur tennis community around the world.

You'll get a list of 10 players within 30 km that you can reach out to.

The monthly drawor more than one
You enter a draw with random players within 30 km. It lets you challenge yourself and get a taste for competition. Every match counts toward your B4T Rating.

Create your sessionor sessions
Create your session/room and wait for an opponent. If you want to play today and have no one, this is your best bet.

Play. And make it count.The on-court scoreboard, validated by your opponent.

Once it's over, both players have to validate the result. If there's no validation, it goes to a ticket and an admin decides.

Your level, in one number that reads the same on any court.

The B4T Rating is a level from 1 to 10, calibrated with FFT, UTR and NTRP. For the usual reason: to know and challenge your level, wherever you play.

It's a living level: it starts where you are and moves with every match. You're not competing against a chart. You're competing with last week's you.
