Finding a Hitting Partner: The B4T Method
If you've played tennis, you know the drama: finding a regular partner.
You book the court, you're pumped, ready to crush your forehands... and 30 minutes before: "sorry, I can't make it anymore."
The 3 classic mistakes
- Relying on a single partner: they have a life, something will come up
- Always playing the same level: no progress
- No structure: "let's play whenever" = you never play
The B4T method (3 pillars)
1. Build a network of 5-7 players
No more, no less. 5-7 people within your 10 km radius you can schedule with quickly.
2. Mix the levels
- 2 stronger players (to improve)
- 2-3 players at your level (tight matches)
- 1-2 weaker players (rhythm and confidence)
3. Use notifications
The Born4Tennis rule: reply to invitations within 2 hours. A culture of fair play and availability is something you build.
The bonuses
- Play doubles once a month: it's different and you meet people
- Go to inter-club tournaments: 4 matches in one weekend
- Propose matches even when you're unsure: worst case, it's a no
On Born4Tennis, more than 65% of matches happen between players who met through the app. We are the community.
