Terms of Service

By using Born4Tennis, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The service is published by Herman Hinojosa, sole trader (full details in the Legal notice).

This English version is a courtesy translation. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.

1.Acceptance

By creating an account on Born4Tennis, you confirm:

• You are 16 or older (GDPR requirement)
• The information you provide is accurate
• You accept these terms and our Privacy Policy

2.Nature of the service

Born4Tennis puts amateur tennis players in touch with each other. We do not organise, supervise or attend the matches arranged through the app: where, when and with whom you play is decided freely between players, under their own responsibility. Born4Tennis is not a party to those meetings, nor to any court booking, payment or other arrangement made between users.

3.Acceptable use

You agree to:

• Respect other players (no harassment, insults, discrimination)
• Provide accurate information (name, level, photo of yourself)
• Not spam the platform
• Not use the app for illegal purposes
• Honour matches you accept (be on time, or warn 24 h in advance)

You must not:

• Create multiple accounts
• Impersonate someone else
• Use chat for commercial solicitation
• Try to hack, scrape, or disrupt the service

4.B4T Rating, Ranking system

The B4T Rating (1-10) is calculated by a proprietary algorithm based on:

• Your validated matches (wins / losses)
• The level of your opponents
• Score margins

The B4T Rating is indicative. Born4Tennis reserves the right to adjust it in case of abuse (fake matches, inconsistent scores).

5.Disputes and moderation

If a dispute arises on a match:

1. Submit a dispute from the app
2. A moderator reviews within 48 h
3. The moderator's decision is final

Born4Tennis is not responsible for conflicts between users outside the platform.

6.Safety at meetups

Through the app you arrange to play with people you may not know. A few common-sense precautions:

• Play on public courts or in clubs, at busy hours
• Tell someone you trust where and with whom you are playing
• Keep first conversations inside the app chat
• If a player behaves suspiciously, decline the match and report the profile from the app

These are recommendations, not obligations. But Born4Tennis cannot vouch for the identity or intentions of any user.

7.Account, suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete my account.

Born4Tennis may suspend or delete an account:

• For violation of these terms or behaviour harmful to the community (harassment, fake matches, commercial solicitation…)
• Immediately and without notice in serious cases: threats to other users' safety, fraud, illegal content
• After extended inactivity (24 months)

Except in serious cases, you will be warned before any suspension. Every suspension or deletion is notified by email, and you can contest it at hello@born4tennis.com.

8.Limitation of liability

Born4Tennis provides a matchmaking platform (see section 2). To the extent permitted by French law, we are not liable for:

• The behaviour, identity or intentions of other players, in or outside the app
• Accidents, injuries or incidents occurring during a match or meetup
• Disputes between users (scores, court bookings, money or anything else)
• Loss, damage or theft of equipment at meetups

Always play in a safe and sporting setting, following the recommendations in section 6.

9.Changes

These terms may evolve. Any significant change will be notified by email or in-app. Continuing to use Born4Tennis means you accept the new terms.

10.Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
