How the B4T Rating Works
The B4T Rating is our own ranking system, calibrated against world standards (FFT, NTRP, UTR, WTN).
The 5 main levels
1-2: Initiation / Beginner
You can hold a racquet and rally a bit. You play with friends.
3-4: Lower amateur / Amateur
You rally consistently. You start varying your shots (slice, topspin). You can play 2 sets without technical fatigue.
5-6: Intermediate / Upper intermediate
You master all the basic shots. You compete (club, league). Tactics in place.
7-8: Advanced / Competitor
You're at a strong regional level. You serve at 150+ km/h. You know your game plan.
9-10: Elite amateur / Semi-pro
National/international level. For 1% of players.
How to progress?
The B4T Rating evolves with every B4T Rating match you play on the app.
When you beat someone stronger: big increase. When you beat someone weaker: small increase. When you lose to someone stronger: minimal loss. When you lose to someone weaker: big loss.
It's the ELO principle, like in chess.
Why our rating is fairer
- Updated in real time (not every 3 months like the FFT)
- Counts all your matches, not just official ones
- Built for modern amateur tennis (an NTRP 4.0 player and a 15/2-ranked player are at almost the same level)
🎾 To start: play your first 5 B4T Rating matches with no pressure. The system calibrates you within a few matches.
